Nutrition
Nutrition Program Assistant

Support direct education activities to improve healthy food and lifestyle choices among limited resource families and individuals encompassing all age groups in various locations throughout the North Country Region.

Fort Drum
Financial Readiness Educator

4-H Camp Wabasso
Camp Counselor
June 24 – August 14, 2026. $3,200 (junior counselor). $3,600 (senior counselor)
The core leaders of the camper experience! Counselors guide cabins, lead activities, and help create a safe, welcoming environment where campers can build friendships, confidence and independence. Junior Counselors must be 17 years old, Senior Counselors must be at least 18 years old.
Head Lifeguard/Senior Counselor
June 22 – August 14, 2026. $4,000.
Part safety leader, part camper mentor. The Head Lifeguard helps supervise the waterfront team while also supporting campers through daily activities and cabin life. A great fit for experienced lifeguards ready to take on a leadership role at camp!
Kitchen Manager/Camp Cook

The heart behind every great camp day starts in the kitchen! Our Camp Cooks keep campers and staff fueled with delicious meals and safe food procedures. Kitchen Managers are responsible for menu planning, purchasing, prepping, and serving meals at 4-H Camp Wabasso.
Camp Wabasso Nurse

The health and wellness leader of camp! The Camp Nurse lives on site during the summer and oversees all camper and staff health needs — from daily medications and minor first aid to supporting overall wellness and safety. This role helps create a caring, reassuring environment for campers while working closely with the leadership team to ensure a healthy and positive camp experience. Candidates must be licensed in NYS as an LPN, RN, or higher.
Program Area Coordinator
June 22 – August 14, 2026. $3,800.
The creative minds behind camp activities! Program Area Coordinators include: Arts & Craft Coordinator, Sports & Rec Coordinator, Nature Coordinator (X2), Ropes Coordinator, and Archery Coordinator. Coordinators create engaging experiences within their classes that help campers learn new skills.
Waterfront Director
June 22 – August 14, 2026. $4,400.
The leader of all things waterfront! The Waterfront Director oversees swim tests, swim programs, boating programs, lifeguard staff, and water safety while making sure campers build confidence and have fun on the lake. This role combines strong leadership, safety expertise, and a love for the waterfront.
4-H Afterschool
Afterschool Operations Coordinator

Assist with the organization, coordination, and day-to-day management of 4-H Afterschool Programs administered by Cornell Cooperative Extension Association of Jefferson County.
Provide IT support to afterschool staff, complete data entry in online systems, and create program materials such as flyers.
